It probably would work to mount an older modem to the wall, however it is way to small to mount a current arris modem to. The velcro straps, even if longer, were very flimsy. Not recommended! The dimensions are 6"x5".

Fits perfect in my Legrand panel and lines up with mounting holes. I am using two side by side to mount a 16 port Netgear managed Poe router. The Velcro straps are too short when using sonde by side so I am using long cable ties. I like that the mount is offset from the panel. Cables can pass under the hardware instead of over it. The only issue I have is that the lip on bottom of the mount should be bigger. The lip is supposed to prevent the hardware from slipping off but it’s only 3/16 of an inch. I am also running cable ties horizontally to prevent slipping.
